What You Can Do To FastTrack The End To AIDS

This past Tuesday, Rochester was abuzz with red ribbons, medical breakthroughs and initiatives to honor World AIDS Day. iVEDiX shared our work with UNAIDS and Kenya, the University of Rochester Medical Center celebrated their advancements toward curing AIDS, and friends at Trillium Health gathered to raise awareness in our community. As one of the highest ranked cities in New York State for HIV infection, it’s no wonder that we’re all working so passionately to end this epidemic.

Governor Cuomo says he wants to eradicate the virus state-wide by 2020 and Steve Dewhurst, Director of the Center for AIDS Research at URMC, thinks it’s possible – on one condition. The public needs to continue to be educated so they will get tested, get treatment, and help stop the spread of the virus.
